It’s that time of the year to carry out a Spring Clean! Those ear muffs, 10cm thick woolies and leg warmers can be lovingly chucked out of our wardrobes – unless you live in the UK, it’s not time for the crop tops quite yet, ladies. But after a Spring Clean, there’s only one thing that can (and quite frankly, needs to) be done; A gigantic Spring haul. Surely we can’t we expected to welcome the new season with our 4 layers of thermal vests? In fact, I’m doing the new trends a favor – I’m being considerate enough to buy them (
because of my fashion addiction out of pity) and give them a new home, that is, my now empty wardrobe.
Being a self confessed window shopper, here are my 5 key pieces I’m determined to have this Spring:
Florals are obviously going to be a huge trend this season (aren’t they always?), but the tapestry design of this shirt gives it a vintage-eastern feel to it, making it easy to dress up or down with a pair of jeans and some gorgeous accessories.
Again with the florals! I’ve already invested in a simple statement necklace from River Island – but this one is so beautiful, the pastel colours and jewelled flowers would go perfectly with a simple maxi dress for a stroll down the high street.
PALE & INTERESTING
It’s not quite summer, but whilst the shorts are a no-go, these cropped beauties are great with anything – especially the tapestry cami (see? co-ordination)
DON’T MAKE ME BLUSH
I’m already a huge fan of Benefit – I use their Porefessional, Hello Flawless foundation and BadGal liner – and this liptint is perfection in a bottle! It’s just the right shade that’s not too bold to draw attention, but creates a soft look that’s suited for spring, expensive yes, but I’m on the lookout for any other versions that could match it!
CREME DE LA CROP
As I just mentioned, I use Benefit’s Hello Flawless! foundation, but although I only use it as a concealer, I’m hoping for something a little lighter just to give me a ‘spring glow’ – so many of my favourite bloggers have tried (and loved) it, so it deserves it’s place on my wish list!
So a spring shopping trip is guaranteed for me – what are your key pieces for spring??
